What is Transfer Edge?
The Transfer Edge program is an exciting opportunity we hope you will consider. Transfer Edge is a 6-week, 6 unit online program that offers participants the opportunity to fulfill two courses, a First-Year Seminar designed to introduce transfer students to the research university and an upper-division University Writings Program course.
Students will gain access and exposure to student support services and other opportunities UC Davis has to offer. Transfer Edge is also a great way to become acquainted with other newly admitted students.
Benefits of Participating in Transfer Edge
Participating in Transfer Edge helps raise success towards retention and graduation. Previous Transfer Edge cohorts have gone on to perform very well in their classes, with an average first-year GPA of 3.28. Transfer Edge is an opportunity to meet other transfer students, form bonds, and have a support system with other students that you can relate to. Many former Transfer Edge students keep in touch after the program and support each other during their time at UC Davis.

“I just want to say thank you to all those who are in charge of this program. I am deeply appreciative of my time in Transfer Edge, and I feel a whole lot less anxious ... I feel prepared and excited for the Fall Quarter.”
